When I arrived at Hotel Ormoz, Slovenia, yesterday evening, after traveling from Cakovec, across the border in Croatia, I found out that the information obtained from the web was inaccurate. Rather than a single room costing 9 Euros per night it had tripled to 29.
Hrvoje (”Her-voy-er”) and Damir picked out my next place last night: Ormozh, Slovenia. The whole family takes great pleasure in listening to me try and say their eldest son’s name.
The town of Ormož is located under the hillsides of the Slovenske Gorice Hills–213 m above sea leavel–and is part of a wine-growing district situated above the Drava River.
