Windy walk
By victoria | Posted in PORTUGAL, Places to Eat, Things to do, Travel on April 17th, 2006 |
Praia Norte was windy and cold this afternoon but the rain had abated. Cars were lined up with people—mainly two, usually husband and wife—sitting inside reading newspapers, talking, sleeping, or just staring out to at the water.

“It is normal,” Sandra said.

The Portuguese like to see the sea, and pass by many an hour peering through their windshields. To get some exercise, Sandra, Fatima, Xavier and I had made the effort and walked for twenty minutes from the city, passed Castelo Santiago da Barra and the boat yard, and then to reward ourselves we went for a big ass ice-cream sundae at Scala Caffe. Just watch my hips wiggle (more) by the time I get home!

Hey Rob, thanks for the comment. I keep resizing before posting but they seem to still be coming out too big. I’ve settled somewhere the for the night now with excellent internet access so will try and fix the problem for everyone. Last thing I want to do is put people off reading about my trip. Thanks so much for checking out the site!
